We’ve definitely hit the ground running this year — January and February have been industrious indeed. However, Petra did manage the time to accompany Jason on a recent business trip to Sydney, where they managed to take some time out to see the sights.

studio threefiftyseven also got a mention in ‘The Advertiser’ a couple of weeks ago, which prompted a response from ‘Home Beautiful’ Magazine. They are currently talking to Petra about devoting some editorial space to her work.
‘SDQ Magazine’ (Scene Design Quarterly, an InDesign publication) are also interested in featuring a profile on her in their winter issue — so this year could stay pretty busy.

Here are some of the projects we’ve been working on of late;

The development of a new corporate identity for Adelaide based share broking firm ‘Taylor Collison’ (shown below) is now well underway. This project involves all new print collateral, website upgrade and a revamp of the interior office space. It also marks the first official occasion studio threefiftyseven’s visual communication and interior design disciplines have worked collaboratively. No less than three new websites have been developed for ‘The Australian Olive Oil Corporation’ recently. Two of these introduce their new premium grade, cold pressed extra virgin olive oil brands; ‘Tigani’ and ‘Timana’.

The third focuses on their contract harvesting operations and sales of olive harvesting equipment. studio threefiftyseven worked alongside Motiv Design on the brand sites, as they were responsible for the packaging and label design work as seen at right.

A clean, simple website for ‘iPSatCom’ has also gone live over the past few weeks.
They have a focus on the delivery of new and next generation internet protocol based broadband and satellite communication services within Australia. (So if you happen to notice a big-ass sat dish on the roof of our building in the near future, please don’t be afraid.)

Both Petra and Jason have been busy producing material for a new product launch for ‘Austral Bricks’ recently.
Jason produced a launch invitation for their new Peninsula range of exposure grade bricks — featuring an image he took of Sellicks Beach. (The products incidentally, take their names from many popular south coast beachside communities.)

The image also portrays a painted wooden sign (shown at left) pointing to the different locations. This image was rendered in 3D and composited into the original photograph. Petra then made a real sign so it could be present at the launch!

On a less commercial note, Petra and Jason are also currently working on a collaborative piece for an upcoming furniture exhibition in Adelaide.

The piece is aptly named the ‘Ned’ table (after its likeness to Mr. Kelly's famous headwear) and is essentially a side or bedside table in American walnut, incorporating a lamp that features a graphic only visible once the light is switched on.
