Happy New Year to all and welcome to the premier edition
of the studio threefiftyseven newsletter. 2005 looks to be
getting off to a great start with many new projects already in the
pipeline.
We’d like to thank all our clients for making 2004
such a memorable year and we’re looking forward to continuing our
existing relationships — and hopefully forming some new ones. |

Those of you who have been into the studio
threefiftyseven office lately may have noticed Jason strutting about with a woody.
I’m referring of course to his new wife and business partner Petra
de Mooy. And when I say ‘woody’ I’m of course referring to
the fact that she’s a highly skilled woodworker. This is perhaps an understatement
though, given she’s spent the last twelve years in Toronto, Canada
building a reputation as one of the country’s premier furniture and interior
designers. (In fact, last month's issue of ‘Style at Home’ Magazine in
Canada featured one of Petra’s fitouts.)
So if you’re in need of high end, custom made furniture,
designed specifically to suit your needs, or require the services of a
skilled interior designer, look no further. She’s currently in the
process of setting up shop here in Adelaide. To see more of her work,
simply get on over to the studio threefiftyseven website — or better
yet go to her freshly redesigned portfolio site at; www.petrademooy.com.

Although the last few of
months have been hectic with much international travel and social
engagement, we have actually managed to get some work done. Bliss
is a new homewares store located in Moffatt Beach, Queensland. Although
purchased as a going concern, the new owners felt the store would
benefit from a rebrand and interior makeover.
studio threefiftyseven was commissioned to develop the new identity
and assist with bringing the store into line with the new brand.
Discussions regarding an online presence are currently in progress. |

We’ve also just completed the first stage of a portfolio
site for Canadian artist Caroline de Mooy (Petra’s sister). Caroline’s
oil paintings are truly beautiful and well worth a look. You can see her
recent work at www.carolinedemooy.com,
but Atmosphere Magazine
are currently running a feature on her and have some earlier pieces on
display. |

The Pantechnicon Gallery in Daylesford,
Victoria recently commissioned studio threefiftyseven to
redesign their identity and help develop their new database driven
website.
We visited the gallery over the Christmas break which is right in the heart
of spa country, just north of Melbourne. We were able to tidy up a few
loose ends and hopefully this work will be complete in the very near future.
Keep watching this space for more details. |
