studio threefiftyseven creates user-centric design on paper, screen and within interior spaces.

Jason Porter portraitWhat some may consider to be an unusual combination of services was actually brought about by the amalgamation of two separate design practices. When Toronto based interior designer Petra de Mooy (below) made the decision to move to Australia, it made far more sense to join an already thriving practice rather than start over from scratch.

Petra de Mooy portraitJason Porter (right), proprietor of Adelaide, Australia based graphic design firm studio threefiftyseven, had already spent several years building a successful studio and a strong client base — and saw a unique opportunity to diversify his business by offering what is in many ways an extension of his graphic design services.

Almost immediately after joining forces, opportunities for the two different disciplines to work on the same projects began to emerge. A new corporate identity for a local stock brokerage encompassed not only their print and online communications, but a revamp of their interior space as well.

Jason and Petra have also recently collaborated on their first furniture piece; the 'Ned' table — a name that came about due to the rectangular shelf cutout (not dissimilar to Mr. Kelly’s infamous headwear). The table incorporates a built-in lamp, with graphics applied to the inside of the shade that only become apparent once the light is switched on.
